Mountains New Zealand Ltd only employs guides trained and qualified under the NZMGA/IFMGA training pathways. All our guides are experts in their field and determined to make your trip an enjoyable and fulfilling journey. Mountains NZ is run owned and operated by local guide Dave McKinley, full UIAGM/IFMGA Mountain and Ski Guide and knowledgeable backcountry wanderer throughout the NZ Southern Alps and beyond. Before committing full-time to a life in the great outdoors in the mid 90's Dave lived a previous life as an award winning chef, bringing with him the attitude of a "service first" mentality and of course reflecting well in the food presentation whilst on expedition with us.
